How it works
Everything a business owner actually wants to know before handing their phone to an AI — not the pitch, the mechanics.
Setup
Before the first call
Tell it about your business
Name, services, hours, booking rules, prices. Paste your website and it reads the rest itself, so you're not typing out facts that are already public.
Pick a voice, name your agent
Hear real voice options first — British, Indian, American, Australian and more — then give your new hire a name.
It passes a quality check before it ever answers a call
Before any agent goes live, it's run through a simulated conversation and graded against hard rules: does it invent facts, does it try to take a card number, does it disclose it's an AI, does it handle an emergency correctly. Anything that fails is regenerated and re-checked, not shipped.
It goes live on a real number
Forward your existing line — all calls, or just the ones you don't pick up — or hand out the new number directly. Either way, it's answering within about five minutes of starting setup.
Every live call
What happens when the phone rings
It discloses upfront
Every call opens with the agent identifying itself as an AI assistant and telling the caller the call is recorded — not buried in small print, said out loud on every single call.
It works out what the caller needs
Booking, a price, a question about hours or services, a complaint, an emergency — the agent reads the intent from what's actually said, rather than forcing the caller through a menu.
It answers strictly from your facts
Prices, hours, policies — stated exactly as you set them. If something isn't in the business's own knowledge, the agent says it doesn't know rather than guessing, no matter how confident it could sound.
It books, or it takes a message
For a booking it captures name, number, service and time, reads it back to confirm, and closes the loop. For anything it can't resolve itself, it takes a clear message instead of leaving the caller stuck.
It hands over when a human should be on the line
Complaints, real emergencies, or a caller who just asks for a person get warm-transferred straight to the owner's mobile — or, if no one picks up, taken as a priority message.
It never asks for a card over the phone
By design, the agent will not take payment card numbers by voice. Where payment is needed, a secure link goes out by text instead.
After the call ends
What you get, without asking for it
Both sides get a text
A booking confirmation goes to the caller and to the business owner within seconds of the call ending — no one has to check a voicemail to find out what happened.
Missed leads get recovered
If a caller hangs up without getting resolved, they get a recap text and the owner gets a callback alert — a second chance at the lead instead of a silent drop.
Unanswered questions become a to-do, not a dead end
Anything the agent couldn't answer is flagged as a knowledge gap in the dashboard. Answer it once, and every caller after that gets the right answer automatically.
Every call is reviewable
The dashboard holds the transcript, the recording, and per-call latency and cost for every conversation — nothing about what the agent said is a black box.
What happens if the AI genuinely cannot answer a call?
It says so honestly rather than guessing, takes a message, and flags the exact question to the business owner as a knowledge gap. The owner answers it once from the dashboard, and the agent knows it for every caller after that.
Does the AI ever pretend to be a human?
No. Every call opens with the agent stating it's an AI assistant and that the call is recorded, and it's graded on that disclosure as part of the pre-launch quality check before it's allowed to go live.
What happens if a caller has a genuine emergency?
Industry templates that involve real risk (dental, medical, trades, estate agents) have a built-in emergency rule — the agent recognises language like severe pain, a burst pipe, a gas smell, or a collapsed pet, and escalates it as urgent immediately rather than booking it in as routine.
Can it keep my existing business phone number?
Yes. The simplest route is call forwarding — either every call, or only the ones that go unanswered, so the agent only catches what would otherwise be missed. It works with any UK phone provider.
How is a new agent tested before it starts taking real calls?
Every agent is run through a simulated set of caller turns and graded against hard rules before launch — hallucinated facts, attempting to take a card number, failing to disclose it's an AI, and mishandling an emergency are all treated as launch-blocking failures, not warnings.
